Welcome Campers!

We’re so excited to open our doors and be your hosts for the return to camping in 2020. However, we are under obligation to follow CDC regulations for the safety of all concerned, so here’s what we’re doing at Bear Run Campground to combat COVID-19 and meet compliance with CDC Standards:

• Thank to our friends from Bactronix (link here), the entire public area interiors have been pre-treated with an environmentally friendly micro-biostatic coating that effectively inhibits the growth of bacteria, viruses, mold, algae, yeast and fungi.

• We have stepped up cleaning and sanitizing procedures including door knobs, light switches, appliances, electronics, and phones.

• Bathhouses, cabins, all publicly-accessible facilities, and recreation amenities will be cleaned with increasing frequency.

• Frequent hand washing is required by all employees and campers

• Electronic check-in through our booking system is required prior to your gate arrival

• Sanitizers have been added to the lodge entrance and exit.

• All campers must use the CDC’s guidelines and be considered healthy upon arrival to the park. Anyone at the park who becomes ill needs to contact the office immediately, and/or emergency services.

• Campers must respect and maintain the 6-foot social distancing standard at all times. Parents will be responsible for ensuring that their children follow social distancing guidelines.

• Our pool is now open with limits on occupancy

• The playground is now open with regular equipment sanitizing

• Canoes & Kayaks are available with regular equipment sanitizing

• Camp Store retail items can be called in and charged to a credit card, then made available at curbside or delivered to your site. Currently, we are limiting in-store shopping to a regulated number of customers. Sanitized baskets are available. Office and store areas are being continuously cleaned.

• Protective plex-shield screening has been added to the front desk registration and payment register area.

• Vendors are permitted at the campground by appointment only.

• Signage is placed throughout the park as a reminder of these new policies.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Things will be a little different as we get underway, but the same beauty of Butler County and warm welcome of the Bear Run family is ready and waiting for you here in Portersville. We can’t wait to see you and get back to safely doing what we all love the most!
